The project, initiated more than two years ago, aims to increase Mercadona 's operational efficiency through a solution that monitors in real time the electricity, gas and water consumption of stores, logistics blocks, offices and beehives (warehouses exclusively for online sales), among others.
Smarkia 's solution monitors more than 900 solar inverters and 600 establishments with self-consumption, and evaluates the performance of a significant part of the charging points for electric vehicles of the leading food distribution company.
With this collaboration, Smarkia promotes smarter energy management at Mercadona and continues to evolve to meet the operational and strategic challenges of the largest distribution chain in Spain and one of the most important in Europe. The company thus consolidates its leadership in the retail sector with advanced solutions to operate in a more efficient, automated and sustainable way.
